We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website uses cookies to ensure proper functionality:

• Session cookie: A strictly necessary cookie that makes the quiz work. It holds your quiz progress, score, language preference and — if you log in — the fact that you are logged in. It is set for everyone using the site and is deleted when you close your browser.
• Login cookies (only if you log in): Number practice, the Learn pages and the printable worksheets are open to everyone and need no account. Vocabulary cards and verb conjugation practice do require an account. If you choose to log in, our login provider Auth0 (Okta, Inc.) sets its own cookies on its domain to keep you signed in. These are set only when you start a login and never for anonymous visitors.

Data Collection and Storage

If you only practise numbers, we store nothing about you on our servers: your answers and progress live in your browser session and are gone when you close it. We show no advertising and share nothing with advertisers.

Visitor Statistics

We use GoatCounter to count page views so we know which languages and pages are actually used. GoatCounter sets no cookies and creates no profile or advertising identifier, but counting a visit does involve processing your IP address and browser user agent, which are used only to recognise repeat views on the same day and are not stored in a form that identifies you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding basic usage of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More information: https://www.goatcounter.com/help/privacy

Account Data

If you create an account we store the user identifier, name and email address supplied by Auth0, together with the content you create yourself: vocabulary cards, the verbs you add to your conjugation practice, your practice results, and any deck you choose to share via a share link. This is stored so we can give you back your own material on your next visit (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). It is not sold, shared or used for advertising. Anyone who practises without an account has none of this stored.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export or delete the data held about you, to object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. If you practise without an account there is nothing held about you to request. If you have an account, you can delete individual cards and verbs at any time in the app, and you can ask us at the address below to delete your account and everything stored with it. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.
